Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast Policies

Arrival Time:
There is no set check-in time. If you arrive before your room is prepared, you can store your luggage at the inn, grab a key and head out to explore the city.

Our corner-lot location offers ample on-street free parking.

Departure Time:
Check-out time is 11 a.m. If your departing flight is later in the day, we are happy to provide a safe location to store your belongings until you are ready to leave.

Minimum Night Stays:
Multi-night stays during certain events may apply. It is best to call us if you are looking for a single night’s lodging.

Children over the age of eight (8) are welcome at our New Orleans lodging. Infants and younger children are also welcomed when the family occupies all rooms.

Handicap Accessibility:
Our guest rooms are located on the second floor of the Inn, and cannot accommodate wheel chair access – we apologize for the inconvenience.

Pet Policy:
Small dogs are welcome at Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast! Owners are responsible for any damage to our facility. We would prefer that your pet stay on the floor or a dog bed instead of on the guestroom bed(s) or furniture; however, we are happy to provide a sheet to cover beds and furniture if you prefer your pet join you there.

We request that your pet be kept quiet and that they not be left alone in the rooms when you leave the inn. If you must leave them in the room for a short time, we ask that they be crated.

Smoking Policy:
We are a non-smoking bed and breakfast. If you wish to smoke on the front porch or in the garden, we will be happy to provide you with an ashtray. Smoking inside will result in an immediate request to leave, and an additional cleaning fee of $250.

Open Flames:
Candles are decorative only. This is a 100-year-old wooden structure; please do not light any candles or incense.

Payment Method:
We accept cash, traveler’s checks, Visa and Mastercard.

Cancellation Policy:
Standard Night Stay: One night’s deposit is required to confirm your reservation, with the balance due on arrival. If you request a date change or cancellation within fifteen (15) days prior to your arrival your deposit will be refunded minus a $35 cancellation fee. If you cancel after that time, your deposit will not be refunded if the room is not re-booked. No refunds are offered for early departures.

Special Events:
(Includes New Years, Sugar Bowl, Mardi Gras, French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, May Graduation, July 4th / Essence Fest, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.) A one night’s non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. Full payment is due 60 days prior to event. Cancellation less than 60 days before arrival will result in full payment charges if the room is not re-booked.
