Greetings friends and visitors! New Orleans is filled with restaurants. Some are classic greats and some are not. Recently, a New Yorker friend of mine was visiting and she’d actually counted how many times she would dine out during her stay in the Big Easy. On Monday, the restaurant where we wanted to dine was closed. After some panicky thought and deliberation, we decided to go with convenience and walked to a nearby establishment. After entering, looking around and getting the feel of the place (which was empty and depressing) she firmly stated, “I’m not wasting one of my meals on a dump. Let’s please find somewhere else to go.” We all laughed and agreed to continue our hunt for the right place to dine. I encourage all visitors and food lovers not to settle in your search for good food in New Orleans. Do your homework and choose the best!
One of my favorite spots lately is, Paladar 511. Located in the Faubourg/Marigny neighborhood. It is all about pasta, pizza, choice entrees and salads by night for dinner. By day, Paladar 511 is a great choice for Brunch on the weekends.
The restaurant is perfectly located in a warehouse building that is big, spacious and has a lively exciting feel. It’s wonderful to eat in a place that people are excited and happy about. Paladar 511 has that going for it right now.
I have enjoyed the Anchovy Pizza, Little Gem Salad, House made Ravioli and the Wagu Hanger Steak for dinner options. I was thrilled with the Eggs Benedict with Crab and Corn for Brunch. Go and enjoy!
