The French Quarter Festival summons unique music and an incredible amount of delicious food to New Orleans’ French Quarter, during the weekend of April 7-10. This festival is a perfect place to discover the unique charm and beauty of the French Quarter.
The French Quarter Festival, with 17 stages and over 100 performers, is the biggest free music festival in the South! You’ll hear many genres of music; jazz, gospel, brass band, cajun and zydeco and even a bit of classical. Some of our favorites include Kermit Ruffins, Bonerama, Baby Boyz Brass, Little Freddie King and Glen David Andrews.
An incredible array of food is offered at three beautiful venues: the old US Mint, Jackson Square, and the Woldenberg Riverfront Park – each only about 16 min from our Uptown bed and breakfast. The choices of food are endless and all worth a try. Get a taste of our unique culinary history while listening to some of the best music our country has to offer, but remember, the French Quarter Festival is a relay, not a sprint. So pace yourself, and split up your food with music and your music with food.
The French Quarter Festival is easy to get to, but not so easy to leave! Easy on the wallet but heavy on the heart, this festival will make you fall in love with the Big Easy.
