Visit Commanders during the week day to take advantage of their lunch specials. You’ll experience the food, ambiance and service at a very reasonable price… and who can turn down 25 cent martinis! For dessert, there’s no question, you must try the bread pudding souffle by far the city’s best desserts.
Commanders Palace is located on Washington Ave, only 1.1 miles from our Uptown New Orleans bed and breakfast.
Other favorites are the 1-1-1-soups – a wonderful sampling of the best gumbo, meaty turtle soup and soup du jour , and the creole cream cheese cake. This dessert is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted and takes three days to make.
The patio setting is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately with our humid climate, outside seating limited. If seating is not available ask for the Garden Room which offers marvelous views of the giant live oaks in the patio.
A dress code does apply: business casual, jacket preferred at dinner, shorts or blue jeans are not allowed.
Treat yourself, this is a very nice experience!
