About The Inn

Experience a New Orleans inn near the French Quarter unlike any other…

Southern Comfort Bed and Breakfast is 1910’s raised center hall cottage that was built on the land of the Bouligny Plantation. In the mid 1700’s there were some 400-sugar plantations that extended west from the city of New Orleans along the Mississippi River.

In thoughtfully restoring the home to its original grandeur, we have captured the spirit of times gone by. As a guest of our New Orleans inn, you will experience the warm hospitality of this world class destination, where making visitors feel at home is our specialty. Your innkeeper is a native New Orleanian and is knowledgeable about many facets of the city: the architecture, which delights the eyes, the food, which tempts the palate, and the music, which enlivens the soul. Whether it is conversation over breakfast, helping you map your route to your business appointments, finding that special place to dine, or suggesting a music venue, we love helping our guests make the most of their stay.

If you don’t want to leave your best four-legged friend behind when you travel, we are a wonderfully unique alternative to pet friendly hotels in New Orleans. Please inquire for pet policies at our New Orleans inn when making your reservation.

Our guests feel as if they are staying in a home and not just a room. As you enter our New Orleans inn, our front parlor is a sun-filled room, welcoming you to relax in our oversized couches and browse through the books, tourist guides and magazines we have available for you. The front parlor is the perfect spot to revive yourself after a day of seeing the sights and preparing for a night on the town. We have many brochures about local points of interest and we are happy to help plan your day.
