Looking for the perfect romantic activity in New Orleans? Your choices are endless, but if the weather is nice, which it usually is, one choice is to watch the sunset at the Fly.
The Fly is a park that runs along part of the Mississippi River behind the Audubon Zoo. It’s the perfect spot to stretch out on the green grass and sip a glass of wine and watch the sun set with that special someone. Your Garden District Bed and Breakfast, Southern Comfort, has bicycles available so getting to the Fly is easy.

Another Mardi Gras comes to an end. We’re all moving slow now, a bit exhausted from all the preparation and celebration. Ladders and chairs lean against the house….beads hang from the trees and power lines on the Avenue…out of towners sort though their teasures trying to narrow what will fit in that homeward bound suitcase…. goodbyes have been made to new friends met on the parades with shouts of see ya next year. Until next year!Living On the Parade Route
